  Janis' roots in the Berkeley area go deep; it was where she played her first large festival Berkeley Folk Festival, summer 1967) and met Janis Joplin, who helped her pick clothing out for Janis' first Grammy Awards appearance. Her father lived in the Berkeley/Oakland area for more than 30 years, and it's always been one of her favorite places. She considers Freight & Salvage audiences "among the best and warmest", and she's thrilled to be making an appearance here again - her first in more than half a decade.
